The Hispanic Heritage Committee (HHC) is an organization for individuals or organizations that are interested in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month and activities throughout the year. HHC is a partner with the City of Albuquerque.
MISSION STATEMENT. The Hispanic Heritage Committee (HHC) is an organization of individuals representing educational institutions, businesses, community organizations, governmental agencies, public service, and policy makers to preserve and celebrate Hispanic culture, heritage, and history.
OBJECTIVES. Our objectives are to (1) To host an annual Hispanic Heritage month Press Conference Kick-Off event , (2) Create and develop a Hispanic Heritage Month Calendar of events to highlight the various activities being held across that state , (3) Create a fact sheet outlining important dates and individuals that highlight major contributions of Hispanics in the U.S. , and (4) Represent the Hispanic Heritage committee throughout the year to further build partnerships and foster statewide awareness of Hispanic culture, history, and heritage.
ACTIVITIES. The Hispanic Heritage Committee meets monthly during the months of October through April, and biweekly May -June, and weekly, July- September. Meetings are held in person and via conference calls, In person meetings are held at the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce,
